At a glance

Information you create

Your tasks, habits, goals, and completion history are stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account, and are automatically synchronized across your Apple devices. This data is encrypted and stored in your private iCloud storage, which is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. The app developer does not have access to your iCloud data.

Frog It’s widgets read the same data directly on your device. Reminders such as the evening prompt are scheduled locally on your device.

Analytics

Frog It collects anonymous, aggregated usage analytics to understand how the app is used and guide improvements — for example, how many people open the app, create a habit, or complete a task. Signals contain only event names and simple counts or categories (such as which screen was viewed). We never collect the text of your tasks, habits, or goals, and we do not use advertising identifiers or track you across other apps or websites.

Analytics are processed by TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused provider that uses only anonymous, non-reversible identifiers. Analytics are on by default; you can turn them off at any time in Settings → Privacy → Share Anonymous Usage.

AI features

AI features (weekly insights and habit suggestions) are not available in the current App Store version of Frog It, so no data is sent to any AI service. If they are offered in a future version, they will be off by default; only if you turn them on will Frog It send the following to Google’s Gemini API to generate a response:

  • Habit names, streaks, and completion rates
  • Goal titles and how many linked tasks were completed
  • The number of tasks you completed in the week

The names and content of your tasks are never sent. This data is processed by Google under the Gemini API Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy. You can stop sharing at any time by turning AI features off.

Third-party services

Aside from Apple’s iCloud service used to store your data, TelemetryDeck for the anonymous analytics described above, and Google’s Gemini API if you enable AI features, Frog It does not integrate with third-party services that would have access to your personal data.

Data controller and legal basis

The data controller responsible for your personal data is the app developer. The legal basis for processing is your consent (for optional AI features) and our legitimate interest in understanding, in aggregate and anonymously, how the app is used.

Your rights (GDPR and privacy laws)

You have the right to:

  • Access your data (available in your iCloud account and on your devices)
  • Delete your data (delete items within the app, use Settings → Data → Delete All Data, or sign out of iCloud)
  • Export your data (via iCloud backup or device backup)
  • Object to processing (turn off analytics or AI features, or disable iCloud for the app)
  • Withdraw consent (turn off AI features, or uninstall the app)

Data retention

Your tasks and habits are retained in your iCloud account until you delete them within the app or disable iCloud sync for the app. Anonymous analytics are retained by TelemetryDeck in aggregate form and cannot be linked back to you.

Children’s privacy

Frog It does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since all user data is stored in the user’s personal iCloud account, parents have full control over their children’s data through their Apple Account and iCloud settings.

International data transfers

Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account, which follows Apple’s international data handling practices. Anonymous analytics (TelemetryDeck) and optional AI requests (Google) may be processed outside your country under those providers’ safeguards.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and the “Last updated” date will be revised. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
